The Strategy and Transformation Lead is a senior member of the VivaAerobus Strategy & Business Development team. This team will define and undertake strategic planning efforts, adhoc and punctual strategic analysis and will lead key enterprise initiatives across the organization. All efforts aim at profitability increase through revenue growth and/or cost reduction, the improvement of the customer’s traveling experience and the development of advanced managerial capability across the organization through training programs and inter departmental efforts.
Lead teams consisting of our own Analysts as well as allocated staff from other areas of the organization to analyze business cases and to build up implementation plans for successful result delivery.
Work closely with the Strategy & Transformation Director and Chief Strategy Officer to actively contribute to the development of the overall strategy and business plan for the airline.
Build relationships with all other airline functions to identify potential improvement areas and provide analytical, structure and problem-solving skills to address unattended or neglected issues that day to day operations forego.
Ensure that VivaAerobus anticipates, identifies, and acts on important market opportunities, and that it responds appropriately to competitive actions through corrective measures in a timely fashion.
Identify, recruit, and develop a team of highly skilled analysts, developing high-potential individuals for succession or rotation to other areas of the airline.
Provide innovative benchmarking analysis to different areas of the airline in order to leverage from other and diverse business model efficiencies and adapt to Viva environment.
Ideal experience / qualifications:
Strategy consulting experience (or equivalent) within a top tier firm or company
A minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience with demonstrated career progression.
Proven ability to work and interact with cross-functional teams across all levels of an organization.
Experience in leading and managing sharp, high performing teams.
Has shown himself or herself to be a creative and innovative individual, capable of fighting and supporting a new approach or solution.
A quick thinker confident with numbers and focused on execution.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of tailoring messages to different types of audiences across the organization both in English and Spanish.
Outstanding analytical and numerical skills with the ability to structure and solve business problems.
Action- and results-oriented spirit with a hands-on attitude and high sense of urgency.
