Position Summary

The Distribution Specialist supports the Distribution team through managing day to day tasks which result through its business with Online Travel Agencies (OTAs), Metasearch Providers (Meta), Global Distribution Systems (GDS) and New Distribution Capability (NDC) partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and enforce Hawaiian’s booking and ticketing policy focusing on meta redistribution and trademark bidding violations, including training remote teams and being a resource for the regional Sales team
• Monitor and respond to distribution support tickets from travel agency and 3rd
• Support the Distribution team by providing testing support for distribution platforms (e.g. Farelogix, Sabre, Amadeus, etc…), new products and aircrafts, and on 3rd parties
• Assist with NDC internal and external sales support and client onboarding
• Work with 3rd party partners to gather and assist in filing discounted fares with internal HA stakeholders
• Support processing and preparing contracts for the Distribution team
• Maintain Salesforce account data for Distribution accounts and NDC partners
• Help implement, test, and monitor Meta tracking
• Work with Sales Analytics to prepare and send out reports for Online Travel Agencies, Metasearch and NDC clients
• Create and work with OTA partners on insertion orders, content design and reporting for OTA marketing campaigns
• Support and work cross-functionally with the Distribution, GDS, OTA, Meta, and Payment teams
• Other distribution duties as assigned or directed

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Economics, or related field
• High proficiency in creating a structured approach to business problems with an aim to problem solve, create new ways about execution
• Ability to make decisions and recommendations based on data and analysis
• Proficient level knowledge in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• Experience working in a fast paced, highly dynamic environment possessing excellent analytical, quantitative, communication and presentation skills
• Must provide proof of full COVID-19 vaccination by date of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in the travel industry and/or sales is an asset
• Ability to shop, book & ticket in Sabre native environment
