Job Description

We are looking for a talented and experienced designer with exceptional problem-solving abilities, clear communication skills, and solid design instincts who can translate business needs into fantastic customer-focused solutions. Ideal candidates are self-starters who bring original ideas and fresh approaches to each project they work on. They are responsive, flexible, and thrive in collaborative work environments.
 

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end UI and UX Design for AirAsia Products.
  • Create user-centered designs by understanding business requirements, voice of the customer, user journeys, customer feedback, and usability findings.
  • Quickly and iteratively create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and detailed UI and visual design specifications to Product and Engineering teams, as well as business stakeholders and executive leadership.
  • Contribute to the design system and ensure design standardization across all of the team’s products.
  • Performing metrics analysis post-launch to inform design/UX optimization efforts.
  • Be resourceful and creative to overcome obstacles and turn challenges into opportunities.

Requirements

  • Must possess at least a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
  • 6-10 years of experience as a UX designer, interaction designer, information architect, or similar.
  • Fluency in best practices in information architecture, interaction design, user-centered design process, as well as strong knowledge of user experience principles and techniques.
  • Experience designing applications with multiple user touch points with specialty in mobile design.
  • Portfolio of work demonstrating breadth and depth in UX and visual design. This should also include approach and process.
  • Professional proficiency in high-fidelity mockup and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Invision, or equivalent.
  • Ability to work efficiently and demonstrate a bias for action in a fast-paced, often ambiguous environment.
  • Must be able to collaborate effectively with others in a cross-functional team in different locations
  • Must be able to rationalize and present their design ideas and decisions effectively.
  • Must be able to prioritize and manage work to adhere to critical project timelines in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Requirements

  • Expertise in product performance optimization using qualitative and quantitative assessment.
  • UX design experience across global markets.
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present a strong rationale for design decisions.
