Could you be our new Senior Manager of IT Operations?

You will ensure that IT Operations, Infrastructure and applications are working efficient with a good quality and low downtime.
Securing that Norwegian have processes and tools to control the total IT Operation and communication between other departments and teams in Norwegian

You will be responsible for 
Provide expert leadership to drive Infrastructure & Network Security maturity improvements across the organization, in line with the changing Threat Landscape,

Regulatory and Compliance requirements etc.

You will report to Karl Vilhelm Piene,SVP Technical IT

You will be responsible for

  • Control costs and budgets regarding IT systems; develop and monitoring the department’s budget,
  • Monthly accruals for the department and invoice registration and reconciliation
  • Lead and manage technical experts/engineer and other IT staff.
  • Performance management of own direct reports; setting KPI’s for each unit in collaboration with Superior and regular follow up on performance. Understanding the meaning of accountability.
  • Drive strong collaboration with cross functional teams, both within own department and other business areas, internal and external
  • Drive for achievement through the team. Motivate staff including development, coaching and empowerment of the individual to reach the goals and objectives of the department
  • Administer resource availability, and make sure the resources are utilized in the best way according to given prioritization
  • Contribute on the strategy and vision of the overall business area IT & Business Services, and in particular IT Operations and Infrastructure
  • Establish policies, standards, practices, and security measures to ensure compliance with accepted industry practice
  • Client management (Office equipment (pc, ipad, mobile phone etc) and tools ( office 365, citrix, management tools,  etc)
  • Overall monitoring and logging solutions
  • Datacentre platform (On premise or in the cloud(IAAS))
  • Be a lead for moving from the “On premise” datacentre to the cloud
  • Administer resource availability
  • Responsible for documentation of all processe

This job will be for you if

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
  • Experience from infrastructure operations include cloud (AWS
  • Practical experience in system, installation, configuration, and integration of diverse systems, in trouble shooting and problem resolution
  • Proven pr demonstrate a deep understanding of telecommunications and have a vast experience in disaster recovery planning and implementation as well as data storage solutions.
  • Expert knowledge in building and leveraging open source technology.
  • Excellent leadership and people skills to be able to lead a team and communicate with other stakeholders.
  • Excellent command of English (written and oral)
