Our Data and Analytics team has a broad value proposition with direct accountability for data and analytics activities across the business. With this broad portfolio we are seeking leaders that are passionate about their domain and willing to work collaboratively across teams to build the world’s most Digital Airline.

Reporting to the GM of Data & Analytics, you will be a leader within the team which has developed a strong results-oriented reputation across our business. The team is made up of data scientists and analytics business partners. To be successful in this role you will be passionate about creating business value for a diverse stakeholder group and have extensive experience identifying, packaging up, and delivering high impact analytics projects with internal and external teams.

You will be responsible for the:

  • Leadership and development of our data science function; your leadership will support a culture of curiosity and passion that engages the broader business about how analytics can be used to drive business value
  • Strategic direction of our consulting team which ensures that we are enhancing our ability to drive value and deliver at scale
  • Oversight of business opportunity generation across our complex organisation from engineering and cargo to our sales and contact centre teams (and everything in between)
  • Delivery and measurement of analytics projects according to agreed prioritisation
  • Development and improvement of our consulting engagements, ensuring that the implementations that deliver value are embedded correctly
  • Overall way we originate and package up work and engagement with strategic external partners
  • Engagement with industry experts to keep up to date with trends and be at the forefront of analytics usage and innovation

We are looking for:

  • Experienced Data and Analytics leaders who have a proven track record of delivering high impact and high ROI analytics projects across multiple domains and Solutions, outside of reporting or data visualisation
  • Advanced analytical skills coupled with a passion and future focus that keeps you continually up to date with the latest trends
  • Advanced relationship and stakeholder management skills; these will have provided you with a proven ability to build long term, trusting business relationships both internally and externally
  • Effective communication and influencing skills which enable you to translate complex decision making processes into clear, succinct recommendations for your stakeholders.
  • Understanding of change management concepts and proven experience communicating and supporting cultural change within a transformational environment.
  • A demonstrated understanding of applied statistical models and machine learning methods
