The Manager, Ancillary Revenues is responsible to develop, manage, grow and be accountable for the Ancillary Revenues at Air Canada. This position reports to the Sr Manager Ancillary Revenues. This incumbent should be based in Montreal.

  • Develop Air Ancillary plan including setting financial targets and action steps
  • Identify opportunities to grow existing ancillary revenues by optimizing existing products such as seats, bag, upgrades
  • Expand branded fares strategy by analyzing customer behavior, associating ancillaries to fare products, and generating upsell opportunities
  • Liaise with Liaise with Revenue Management to ensure the ancillary revenue proposition works in concert with our fare offering
  • Expand Ancillary product portfolio
  • Keep abreast of competitive changes and industry developments to capitalize on opportunities to grow tariff related ancillary revenues
  • Liaise with external suppliers and our internal IT department to improve the process for implementing new ancillary products
  • Develop marketing campaigns for Ancillaries
  • Ensure Ancillary offering matches Brand experience
  • Participate in implementing cross-selling strategy with our partners to improve customer delivery, facilitate ancillary developments with our partner airlines and increase ancillary revenues
  • Work closely with the Fare Implementation team for day-to-day pricing changes and when external distribution of ancillaries is required
  • Stay abreast of Legal and regulatory requirements as they pertain to the sale of Ancillaries
  • Liaise with various stakeholders within Air Canada to ensure the development of ancillary products remain consistent with our overall customer value proposition and commercial objectives.

Qualifications

  • University Degree is required. Specialization in Business or Marketing is a definite asset
  • Airline revenue management experience is required
  • Experience in managing and developing direct reports
  • Sound understanding of ancillary sales is an asset
  • Experience in developing, implementing and monitoring a pricing strategy
  • Critical thinking with an ability to identify and understand problems and propose solutions
  • Strong ability to manage risk
  • Strong leadership skills with high ability to lead and influence people
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficiency with Excel, Word and Power Point applications
