The objective of the Digital Product Owner, Website is to bring our digital strategy to life by building features, products and experiences that our guests love.

The role will create joyful and seamless experiences for our guests, without exposing limitations. Your manifesto is to meet and exceed expectations of internal and external stakeholders owning digital product development and contributing to transformation projects across our airline.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Be the Digital Product Owner for the Attract and Inform squad, working Agile to run and deliver enhancements for the Virgin Australia website.
  • Overseeing management of the product backlog including prioritisation through value/effort assessments, financial modelling and identification of customer experience improvements
  • Track, measure and be accountable for achieving product KPI’s at a product, departmental and group level
  • Responsible for refining requirements and defining release and sprint goals
  • Collaborate with the current digital squads and IT teams across Virgin Australia and the Velocity loyalty program to ensure a seamless experience for guests
  • Apply analytics, financial and customer driven analysis to recommendations and decision making
  • Identify dependencies across digital product suite and downline systems and demonstrate ability to collaborate to align and resolve blocks
  • Apply a customer-centric approach driven by improvements to LTR/NPS scores and revenue performance for the group
  • Collaborate closely with business units in the broader organisation (Sales, Marketing, IT, Velocity, Contact Centres, Finance)

Since November 2020, Virgin Australia has been working on a plan to set itself up for future success. The Group has worked to ramp up flying, simplified its organisational structure, confirmed plans for 25 new 737 aircraft to renew and grow the fleet, and signalled deeper investment in technology and customer experience.

What we’re looking for:

  • At least 2 years’ experience in a digital product ownership role, including working on agile projects and/or cross functional teams, ideally in the airline, travel or loyalty industry
  • Experience working across complex technology stacks that are customer facing
  • Proven track record in delivering innovative digital products that have grown customer loyalty, attracted more revenue and/or reduced costs
  • Demonstrated success in managing technology vendors and contractors to deliver on time and on budget
  • Advocate for accessibility including thorough understanding of WCAG 2.1 guidelines
  • Knowledge of platforms used by our squads including Confluence, Jira and Sharepoint
  • Experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), including content management and understanding of its technical capabilities is highly desirable
  • Focused on defining success metrics and skilled in analytics and insight-generation, ideally with Adobe Analytics and Power BI
