About the job


Reporting into the Data Management Manager, you will be assisting with implementing a large-scale Data Transformation Programme and the on-going management of data across easyJet, working closely with multiple stakeholders across the business.

Job Accountabilities

  • Working as part of the Data Management team, you will be assisting with the implementation of a large-scale Data Transformation Programme, helping to create Policies and implementing Standards across easyJet, covering all aspects of data:
    • Security
    • Access Controls
    • Governance
    • Quality
    • Controls
  • Working with colleagues across easyJet’s IT, Legal, Finance, Engineering, Operations and Commercial teams to embed Data Management Policies/Standards, created as part of the Data Transformation Programme
  • Working on requirements for identifying and rolling out new Data Management tooling across the airline
  • Pre/Post implementation of Data Management tooling, working on projects dealing with:
    • Data Dictionaries/Catalogues
    • Data Lineage
    • Data Profiling
    • Data Tagging/Classification
    • Data Quality Metrics/Reporting/Remediation
    • Data Quality Improvements
    • Data Governance
    • Critical Data Elements (CDE)/Key Data Elements (KDE)
    • GDPR Compliance
  • Maintaining compliance with internal business policies/standards and privacy laws
  • Working with the ‘Data Steward’ programme across the airline
  • Liaising with functional areas to assess feasibility of new project and strategy ideas, providing input to how these will impact or possibly overlap with both existing processes and past projects

Job Qualifications

  • Detailed understanding of data protection, security and privacy
  • Experience with large transformation programmes
  • Previous experience/implementation of Data Management tooling (such SAS, Informatica, Collibra etc) and Data Reporting tooling (including Tableau)
  • Implementation of Data Dictionaries/Catalogues
  • Implementation of Data Governance and Data Quality principles, policies, standards, and processes
  • Understanding of Data Architecture and Data Modelling
  • Previous experience of Profiling/Tagging large datasets (both on premise and cloud)
  • Exposure to data modelling, use of Critical Data Elements (CDE)/ Key Data Elements (KDE) and data architecture
  • Data Quality implementation (framework implementation, data quality rules, data quality technology, data quality processes and procedures)
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal – adept in the use of PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills at all levels, ability to tailor messages to the audience whilst driving delivery and maintaining relationships and deliver with challenging stakeholders
  • Ability to engage, influence, and forge strong partnerships with IT and business stakeholders
  • Business analysis and basic skills in project management
  • Ability to talk authoritatively about the positive impact of data management
