The Role
Ancillary Revenue is a core part of the profitability of Low-Cost Airlines and represents approx. 35% of total company revenue. Key sources include sales from Reserved Seating, Priority Boarding, Excess Baggage, Inflight Sales, Car Hire, Hotels, Fast-Track Security and Travel Insurance, amongst others. All of these products are sold via Europe’s No. 1 Digital platform in Travel attracting over 1 billion visitors per annum, the market leading Ryanair Mobile App with more than 45 million downloads, and CRM email campaigns ensuring customers are targeted with the right product at the right time.
In this role as a commercial and operational performance analyst, you will use your excellent numeracy skills to make a real difference to Ancillary Revenue performance of the Airline Group. You will be a senior member of the Ancillary team, with responsibilities for managing products and working closely with the Ancillary & Inflight team and Data Analytics & BI Teams to analyse sales trends and make sales improvement recommendations. A key objective is further building-out, and analysing reporting that will identify the key conversion drivers for each ancillary product. Vital to this role will be assisting the team translate this data into real implementable ideas that will drive conversion rates and pricing of all Inflight and Ancillary products. For example, Dynamic Pricing of Reserved seating, identification of key drivers affecting sales of Car Hire and Travel Insurance, optimising the inflight sales packing plans to maximise revenue & margin, and generation of new product revenue streams, product bundles etc.
In addition, you will be responsible for daily management of several ancillary product lines such as Car Hire, Hotels, and Travel Insurance etc, ensuring all contract deliverables are being achieved and working with Sales and Marketing teams to deliver the required level of customer communications and digital developments. You will also assist in the mentoring and development of other members of the Ancillary Finance team.
Ideally from the Retail, Travel, FMCG or E-commerce, sector, you will be a self-starter with the ability to work autonomously and see the contribution you make to the success of the business clearly linked with your work, in this very high growth area.
